More information and a rent summary template is available here: http://tenancy.govt.nz/rent- bond-and-bills/rent/charging-rent”

No rent summary was submitted prior to the hearing today.

At the hearing the landlord was advised that she needed to file a statement in accordance with the spreadsheet to be found on the Tenancy Services website. She was also advised that it needed to be filed by 3 pm today.

The landlord sent an email that did not contain any of the required information.

At 2.22 pm the landlord was emailed the following message: “As the Adjudicator advised at the hearing, for your claim to succeed, you need to file a rent statement in the format provided on the Tenancy Service website including the following information: the date each payment of rent was due, the rent period it covers, the amount of rent due, the amount of rent paid, the date each payment of rent was paid, together with a running total of rent arrears. If a statement in that format is not received by 3 pm today then your application will be dismissed.”

At 4 pm no rent statement had been received by the Remote Registry.

The landlord has not provided the Tribunal with sufficient information or evidence for it to make the termination order sought.

The landlord’s application is therefore dismissed.
