- The landlord attended the hearing. The tenant did not.
- The applicant did not attend the rehearing of the landlord’s claim for $186.30 removal cost of timber and barbed wire at the scheduled time, request an adjournment, or notify the Tribunal the matter has settled. See sections 78(1)(i) and 92(1) Residential Tenancies Act 1986.
- I am satisfied that the tenant had received proper notice of the hearing time, date and place and chose not to attend. I tried calling the tenant twice on the mobile number provided to the Tribunal and the tenant was provided several numbers to call into the hearing on the Notice of Hearing she was sent on 13 February 2026. She has also been sent two text reminders of the hearing in the past week.
