Reasons
- Ms Verma, representing the landlord, attended the video conference hearing. The tenant did not join the hearing conference as per the instructions in the Notice of Hearing. As the tenant was served, the hearing proceeded in her absence.
- The landlord has applied for termination of the tenancy, rent arrears, outgoings, refund bond and refund of the filing fee.
- At the start of the hearing, the landlord said the tenancy ended on 12 February 2026. As such, I dismiss the claim for termination of the tenancy.
How much is owing for rent and water rates?
- The landlord has provided rent records which prove the amount owing to 12 February 2026, the end of the tenancy, which is $5,849.29.
- The landlord also provided water invoices and a water ledger, which prove the amount owing by the tenant for water rates to 21 January 2026, which is $146.21. Filing fee
