Order
- The application is dismissed.
Reasons
- The hearing of the applicant’s claim for compensation was set down for a video conference at 9.30am today. The parties were notified of the hearing.
- By 9.40am, there being no appearance from either party, the claim was dismissed. See sections 78(1)(i) and 92(1) Residential Tenancies Act 1986.
- I add that even if the parties had attended, the landlord’s claim for compensation would be dismissed for lack of evidence. They provided no entry or exit inspection photographs of alleged damage and no invoices, only a list of quotes. T Baker, 16 April 2026
