Order
- Teisa Vulu must pay Irentproperty Limited As Agent For Chloe Pichay $4,224.00 immediately, calculated as shown in the table below:
Reasons
- Ms Metcalfe, representing the landlord, attended the video conference hearing. The tenant did not join the hearing as per the instructions in the Notice of Hearing and so did not attend the hearing. As the tenant was served, the hearing proceeded in her absence.
- The landlord has applied for termination of the tenancy, rent arrears and reimbursement of the filing fee. In the application, in addition to the tenant, a guarantor, Liliani Vulu, was also named as a respondent. During the hearing the landlord asked that Liliani Vulu’s name be removed from the application and the application proceed against only the tenant.
- Further, the landlord advised that the tenant left the tenancy on 12 May 2026 and so withdrew the termination of tenancy claim.
How much rent is owing?
- The landlord has provided rent records which prove the amount owing to 12 May 2026, the end of the tenancy, which is $4,196.00. Filing fee
- Because Irentproperty Limited As Agent For Chloe Pichay has wholly succeeded with the claim I must reimburse the filing fee.
